Registered Physiotherapist
Nirushan Guruparan
With over a decade of education and experience, Nirushan brings a comprehensive, client-centered approach to physiotherapy. He holds a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University, complemented by Bachelor’s degrees in Human Biology (University of Toronto) and Kinesiology (York University). This diverse academic background allows him to see the bigger picture when assessing clients, tailoring treatments that address not just symptoms but the root causes of pain and dysfunction.
Having practiced in both British Columbia and Ontario, Nirushan has worked with a wide range of clients, including those recovering from orthopaedic injuries, motor vehicle accidents, workplace incidents, athletic injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation (knees, hips, shoulders). His treatment philosophy combines hands-on manual therapy, functional training, and targeted exercise prescription, ensuring every client receives personalized, effective care. He is also trained in joint mobilization, McKenzie techniques, taping, active tissue release, and dry needling.
Beyond the clinic, Nirushan’s passion for helping others extends to global health. As part of the Executive Committee for the Global Health Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, he has worked to bring physiotherapy services to underserved communities.
When he’s not helping clients regain mobility and strength, Nirushan enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new TV shows, going to concerts, hiking, lifting weights, and keeping up with basketball, soccer, and tennis news. He is also deeply interested in fitness, nutrition, and the latest innovations in health and wellness.
With Nirushan, you’re not just getting a physiotherapist—you’re gaining a dedicated partner in your journey to recovery, strength, and long-term well-being.
